FastLeafDecay Mod 1.17.1 speeds up leaf decay after you cut down the wood in a tree. By default, it will only take about five seconds before all leaves are gone.

FastLeafDecay is a mod that swiftly decays leaves off trees once all of the tree’s timber has been broken. If the leaves of one tree touch the leaves of another, they may not despawn. In addition to the vanilla Minecraft trees, this patch will accelerate leaf loss from the following mods: Natura, IndustrialCraft 2, Minefactory Reloaded.
