Information about Fans have recreated a Spaceworld 1997 demo of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
One thing that always manages to impress are the projects that Nintendo fans are able to successfully create. This can involve a variety of things, but fan games and recreations tend to get the most attention. The latest example of this is no exception, because it is a beta release of a recreation of the Nintendo Spaceworld 1997 demo of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The goal of the project is to recreate the 3 gameplay “tours” that were available in the original demo.
The project, which is called Ocarina of Time – Spaceworld ‘97 Experience, saw a beta release to celebrate both the anniversary of the game and Spaceworld 1997. Spaceworld was Nintendo’s annual expo, which they held in Japan to showcase video gaming software and hardware from 1989 to 2001.
Due to the necessity of having to piece together some portions of the demo, it’s not “100% accurate”. However, there is a lot of accuracy included nevertheless, thanks to parts of the original demo being found on a dev cartridge of F-Zero X, and material that has become infamous for being called the “gigaleak”. The release trailer, which the developers of the project say was recorded on a real Nintendo 64, can be seen down below.
